SNP BOOSTING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION – EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR THE PANDEMIC

ABSTRACT

Social distancing and automation are the solutions to ensure community safety in the current complicated Covid-19 epidemic situation. In that context, TCSG has recognized the importance of enhancing the application of digitalization in port management to improve business efficiency, ensure service quality, and promote sustainable development.

Two effective measures TCSG is applying are to encourage customers to register service procedures on ePort and implement online payment via EDO. The digitalization of documents and online payments is time, labor and cost-efficient, with flexible, accurate, and confidential transactions. Additionally, these applications minimize traffic congestion in and out of the Cat Lai port area, reduce paper usage in the documentation, which is a positive contribution to environmental protection. At large, the application of IT accelerates Vietnam’s digital economy and society toward sustainable development for the logistics industry in Vietnam and the world.
